For the 17th time the top international mountain race, Olympus Marathon, will be held this weekend, 25-27 June, in the mythical Mount of Olympos sponsored by Ravago Katerini & Monotez.
This race is a great opportunity for every athlete to have a taste of a unique trail running event in the Greek mythical “Mount of the gods” where the route revives the pilgrimage of ancient Greeks where they ascended every year to honor and sacrifice to Zeus.
The Marathon consists of three races of different level of difficulty each. The races are:
For the first run it is important to mention that participants should provide that they have finished in the last three years in 2 mountain running races of 20km with 1000m positive altitude or above or 1 mountain running race of 35km with 2200m positive altitude or above.
