Our History

Resinex originally founded in 1988 to distribute the polypropylene plastics for Shell in Belgium, Resinex quickly grew by adding new customers and broadening its supplier base.

Over the years, a comprehensive sales, logistics and purchasing structure has been set up, to distribute branded raw materials in partnership with the world’s leading petrochemical companies.

By taking over companies with market experience and starting up companies with enthusiastic, dynamic and technically oriented people we succeeded in growing our company with the needs of the customer and supplier in mind.

Ravago Plastics Hellas S.A. (Plastics & Elastomers Division) was founded in 1985 and at that time, had its own Commercial Office, a Recycling Unit in Nea Artaki Chalkida and warehouses. Within 1993, the company became Distributorship for Dow Chemicals and since 2000 Ravago Plastics Hellas is responsible for the Distribution/Sales of the Ravago and Resinex Portfolio in Greece. Within 2002, Ravago Plastics Hellas expanded its activities into the Balkan area and in 2016 rebranded to Resinex Hellas S.A.

The Presence

We are a part of the Ravago Group, the number one global service provider to the plastic and rubber industries, with sales of over 4,3 Million MT.

Resinex is the only polymer supplier covering all European countries, Turkey and FSU with a broad network of sales offices and local warehouses combined with a central logistic department and warehouse in Belgium.

Resinex now has European strategic partnerships with Arkema, Braskem, Celanese, DOW, DSM, Sipchem, Solvay, Trinseo and others with full access to the plastics compounding activities of Ravago with prime branded and industrial and recycled compounds of engineering and commodity polymers including thermoplastic elastomers.
